First Year, Second Semester

The students' first experience in total planning - tackling issues as the project program, insertion into an existing urban fabric, architectural syntax, materials and details. This semester stressed the importance of  the integrality of the design process, seeing the present experience as a first milestone of a life-long endeavour.

The site was an empty space between buildings of a modernist industrial  compound, not much altered since its construction in the 60's.

The various students' approaches had in common the awareness of the impact of the structure and the program on the surroundings.
